Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of paidgrad.com and the PaidGrad services (together, the "Service"), provided by PaidGrad ("PaidGrad", "we", "us"). By joining our waitlist or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PaidGrad helps students discover fully and partially funded study opportunities abroad, such as scholarships, fellowships, tuition waivers and teaching, research and graduate assistantships, and guides them through the application process. PaidGrad is currently in early access. Features may change, be added or be removed as we build the product.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. No guarantee of admission or funding

PaidGrad does not guarantee admission, scholarships, assistantships, funding, visas or any other outcome. Admission and funding decisions are made solely by universities, funders and governments. Match scores and chance estimates are guidance based on available information, not predictions or promises.

4. Accuracy of program information

We work hard to keep program, funding and deadline information accurate and up to date, but it comes from public sources and can change without notice. Always confirm details such as eligibility, funding amounts and deadlines directly with the institution before you rely on them. PaidGrad is not responsible for decisions made based on information that has changed or is incomplete.

5. We are independent

PaidGrad is not an admissions agent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any university, scholarship provider or government, unless we clearly say so. If we ever show sponsored or partner listings, we will label them clearly.

6. Your responsibilities and academic honesty

• Provide accurate information about yourself, and keep your account secure.
• Submit applications that are honest and your own work. PaidGrad's coaching tools are designed to help you improve your own writing, not to produce work you present as someone else's or to misrepresent your qualifications.
• Follow the rules of every institution and program you apply to.
• Do not misuse the Service, including by scraping or copying our data, attempting to break or bypass our security, reselling access, or using the Service for anything unlawful or harmful.

7. AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence to give suggestions and feedback. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review it carefully and use your own judgment before relying on it or including it in an application.

8. Paid plans

Some features may require a paid subscription. Prices, billing periods and what each plan includes will be shown before you buy. Payments are handled by our payment providers. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, payments are non-refundable.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or write, such as your CV and essays. You give PaidGrad permission to store and process that content only as needed to provide the Service to you. We handle it as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Our content and brand

The Service, including our software, design, databases, text and the PaidGrad name and logo, belongs to PaidGrad and is protected by law. You may not copy, modify or distribute it without our written permission, except as allowed by these Terms.

11. Third-party links and services

The Service links to university websites, application portals and other third-party services. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will always be available, error-free or secure.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PaidGrad will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including missed deadlines, lost opportunities, or rejected applications. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you have not paid us anything. Some laws do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

14. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service or leave the waitlist at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nothing in these Terms removes any consumer protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as PaidGrad grows. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and let you know about significant changes. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
